When I was 13, I was doing the most important thing it the world. I was making the biggest statement I possibly could. I was growing my hair! It was 1992, the beginning of the infamous grunge era, and I wanted to be right in the thick of it.
Getting Through Mid-Length
One of the things I hated the most about growing my hair, was that awkward in between stage, when the hair just looked too long, too short, or too something else. It just didn't look right. It wasn't quite covering my ears, and wasn't heavy enough yet to lay down nicely. So it went everywhere.
Suzie has been having some of the same complaints lately about being pregnant. She keeps saying how she wants to get through this in between stage, so she can just look pregnant already! In stead of...well...ummm....well, I'll just leave it at that.
Jelly Bean's First Contact
One of the most amazing things that is happening right now though is that, well, Jelly Bean is hardly a Jelly Bean anymore. We read in one of the many books that we have that he/she is about six inches long right now, and Suzie is starting to feel the first signs of movement!!! ....she thinks anyway.....I guess she wouldn't really know from experience. So I guess you could say that this is Jelly Bean's first communication with us! The first of many of course, and in 16 years we'll likely look back and wish for this type of communication again.
We go for our third ultrasound next week, and it's the one that would usually tell us gender. But of course, to increase the dramatics of the BIG day, we're not finding out!
